Partners

Bloor Research is able to offer you the breadth of services, reach and geographical coverage normally only available from a major international organisation. The way we achieve this is partly through proactively seeking superior partners who offer complementary services and/or who can better service other international regions - then forming joint ventures and alliances.

A selection of our alliances is described below:

Concertant (Logo)

Concertant is a unique consultancy specialising in all aspects of multi-core processors and parallel computing, which is a very fast-growing business. Concertant's partners have been working together and separately for over twenty years on a wide variety of aspects of multi-processor and parallel computing: advising national and quasi-national governmental organizations, running national and multi-national projects and developing hardware, software and related tools. They have covered application areas as diverse as: data-mining, finance, aeronautics, transportation, embedded systems, working with supercomputers, grids and high-performance workstations. As part of various bodies they have also helped to specify language modifications to take advantage of parallelism. This gives Concertant an almost unrivalled breadth of experience.

Hurwitz & Associates (Logo)

Through Bloor Research's partnership with Hurwitz & Associates, IT suppliers and purchasers gain from a greatly enhanced physical presence that spans the US and European markets and a larger pool of analysts.

Bloor Research founder Robin Bloor, now US-based, is both a Partner at Hurwitz - which provides IT analysis services to US companies - and Chief Research Officer at Bloor in Europe. Product offerings provided by the two companies are broadly complementary, with Robin providing both with insight on IT direction and strategy.

IT-Analysis.com (Logo)

In 2005, Bloor Research was a launch partner for what is becoming the most important global IT information source for IT decision-makers, when we spun off our IT Analysis and IT Director resources into the independent ITA company. At the heart is an independent web portal - IT-Analysis.com - which brings together research, analysis, comment and opinion from across the entire technology analyst community. The service now also delivers an information feed directly to IT users and suppliers, including organisations with strong communities such as the BPMG and FAST.

Those responsible for IT strategy and purchases will gain key decision-making insight. Regular contributions from over 30 analyst companies (and growing) such as Bloor, Hurwitz, Quocirca, Sageza and Macehiter Ward-Dutton and Freeform Dynamics - plus other independent experts from organisations such as Cranfield University - ensure wide, deep coverage that tows no company line and above all carries authority.
